rushistory
Hi All, Quick question and wasn't sure who to ask. I'm beginning grad school in September. I'm currently applying for a volunteer position to organize a large conference for my department. I have a lot of previous event planning experience (2 years full-time coordinating work for student services in a university) so I think I have a good shot at this and it would be a good networking opportunity. My MA is fully funded (both tuition and living) so I won't be working and should have time to do this. HOWEVER, I'm a bit stuck with what to put on my CV. I won't actually be starting my program until September, however, obviously I want to indicate that I will be attending this institution in the Fall, as the position is only open to students from my future university. Should I just list ... Master's of XX, XX School, September 2016 - present....? Does the same apply for scholarships I have been selected for, but won't actually receive until September? Sorry if this is silly. Thank you!
fuzzylogician
What you suggest sounds good to me. I'd also suggest that you simply mention that you will be starting a graduate program at School in September in your email/cover letter when you submit the application.
