yousowildrach Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 Hi everyone! I am wanting to apply for Ph.D. programs with a concentration in poli behavior and/or political communication in the fall, and was wondering if there are any suggestions for schools. So far in my list, I have UNC Chapel Hill, Penn, Georgia, Minnesota, Northwestern, George Washington, Washington, and Ohio State. Any advice would be appreciated!
PizzaCat93 Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 UNC, OSU, and Northwestern are very good for this. Also check out Stony Brook, Duke, Michigan. Your competitiveness of course depends on your stats, and if you're applying in the fall, you should get your list of schools together very very soon. Are you at USC? I'm also from South Carolina.
ultraultra Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Would second Michigan, Stony Brook, Duke. I'd also suggest Stanford, UCLA, Vanderbilt, UVA, and maybe UCSD and Princeton. I don't check this website too often but I had good luck last cycle with a similar research focus, so feel free to message me and I can try to give you some advice. I'd also recommend checking out the results threads from previous cycles to get a sense of where behaviour people applied and where they were competitive given their stats.
