Applying to 2 related PhDs in the same school

Hi all!

I am planning to apply to both PhD bioinformatics and biostatistics programs at Boston University. Even though technically I am allowed to do so in the application form, given that these two programs are so related, do you guys think its too uncouth/will people hate me? I honestly have no idea.

I would talk to your prospective advisors in each program to get their view on the situation. If they think it would be uncouth to apply to both, take their advice.
