anthgraduate Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 (edited) Since applying, I have been accepted to present my research at two national conferences. I thought about sending a letter to inform the adcoms. Thoughts? Edited January 12, 2010 by anthgraduate
LaurenA Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 I guess it would depend on how big of a difference adding that to your application would be--if something huge happened to me after sending in my applications, I would probably send in an updated CV with a cover letter.
eucalyptus Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Send an updated CV - the worst that will happen is they will throw it out and use the old one anyway. Doesn't hurt, right?
gildedProgressive Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Something similar happened to me. I contacted the person/location I sent the supporting documents to, and every school was very helpful. I wasn't sure how to proceed, but what each school did was to update my file on their end, based on the email I sent. The CGS at my top school printed out our correspondence + my acceptance email and added it to my file. Good luck with everything, and congratulations on your acceptance.
