Couldn't figure out how to edit the last post about the Harvard status check, so another post it is. Is anyone else's Penn application marked incomplete with a missing transcript after uploading an online transcript? The application instructions stated that a scanned copy was fine for the purposes of reviewing applications, but when I checked my status page it said that my transcript was missing. I emailed them directly to ask, but just wondering if this is happening to everyone.

Sorry for all of the frantic posts, just feeling a bit paranoid after realizing that one of my schools lost/misplaced/didn't receive(?) my GRE scores even though I have a paper confirmation from ETS confirming that they sent my scores weeks ago (and all the other score reports that I ordered at the same time were received.)

"It is strongly encouraged that you upload an unofficial copy of your transcript to this section to facilitate the processing of your application. If you are contacted regarding admission, you must send an official copy of your transcript to the Graduate Division. You will not receive an offer of admission until the official copy has been received and verified."

I read that as: better to send official transcripts as well as upload unofficial copies, because they cannot make you an official offer without the real thing. But I wouldn't worry about the "incomplete," since they do state that they would like to see electronic versions and intend to review your application without official transcripts.

I got the same Incomplete status message and had a small heart attack until I remembered that was one of the applications I uploaded an unofficial copy to. It says explicitly that if you upload, you should not also send paper copies. Don't worry about it until you get an offer of admission!

My application still says incomplete, at first I thought it was my unofficial transcripts, but now I realize that it still says it doesn't have my official test scores, which I know were sent out to the schools in november (I have ETS confirmation). Anyone else having this problem? Is this just yet another instance of slow-updating on the applyyourself system?

I've had this problem with almost every school. Turns out there was a minor error on my GRE report that caused it not to be filed with the rest of my application. I would contact each program to verify that they have your GRE scores and that it is associated with your app. Send them your registration # as well as your test date.

I checked my other applications and the official scores seem to be there for all of the schools except Penn. I did receive a weird (I assume mass) email from the lady in charge of applications (DGS? I don't know) on January 11th which said:

"Due to the volume of application materials that are being entered into the system, we are currently not able to tell you if required items are missing from your application.

After this process is complete, you will be notified if there are any items needed to complete your application and given the opportunity to provide it. You can also track the receipt of your materials by logging in to your online application."

I wish she told me when the "process" will be complete. Rar.

I wouldn't worry about your Penn admissions status. This happened last year, too. They ended up losing one part of my app (I think one of my transcripts?), but they contacted me about it in early-mid February, and I was admitted in late February/early March.
