Rianna
Hello All, I'm brand new to these boards - just found them, unfortunately after most of my apps have been turned in! Oh well! I'm working on my last set of applications, and I'm having a bit of trouble deciphering exactly how to address the following essay question (for an Masters of Social Work/Public Health program) : 5. How do you see your role of social work today in resolving issues related to social and economic injustice and discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion etc. I'm not sure if I should treat this as how the social work profession addresses these issues, or how I personally as a social worker could tackle these problems. This may be obvious to others (I've been staring at questions until bug-eyed), so fresh opinions would be most welcome. Thanks!!!!
LifeIsGood
Wow, that's a terribly written question. I think this is what they mean: How do you see the role of social work today in resolving issues of social injustice, economic injustice, and discrimination, stemming from race, gender, sexual orientation, religion etc.? Which would correspond to an answer talking about the profession as a whole.

At least I'm not the only one thinking it was a sadly worded question Your interpretation is the way I was leaning, I think I"ll go with it. Thanks again!
