ss2 Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 (edited) Hey guys, I applied last year to a handful of MFA programs across the country. My plans did not go as expected, (I either got rejected, or chose not to take the wait list position) so I am reapplying this year. I will be reapplying to 2 of the same schools I applied last year (Columbia and SVA) and I am concerned because honestly I don't feel like my statement of purpose has changed at all. I'm still working with the same themes, same ideas, same imagery. I have some new work which is good, but how important is it to have a new statement? Is it a faux pas to use the same one? I may tweak it a tad but not enough for it to be different? Any input is helpful, thank you! Edited December 5, 2016 by ss2
