Presenting at regional conferences outside one's region?

Apologies if this is a stupid question, but is it considered kosher to present at a regional conference outside one's own region? If it helps, I'm in the composition/rhetoric field.

I don't see why not. You might ask yourself whether it's worth it (cost vs possible benefits, depending on the projected audience and whether they are people you want to meet and/or you predict you'll get good feedback from them), but that's a separate question.
