007 Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Hey there, does anyone of you have some sort of experience with Columbia SIPA's financial aid? From what I have read so far, the school does not seem to be very generous for first year students but does offer grants for the second year. Do you have any kind of more detailed knowledge? Best, 007

EDIT: never mind, i realized i have more info. i intern with a number of SIPA students, and the cutoff for 2nd-year fellowships last year was a reasonable 3.2. Best, 007 They don't seem to be that generous! I read somewhere an article on this SIPA student run blog that the numbers they were giving out for the 2nd year were misleading. Couldn't find the link though...

Here's the link: http://themorningsidepost.com/2008/08/50-of-the-time-it-works-every-time/ and to be fair the response from the Director of Admissions and Financial Aid: http://themorningsidepost.com/2008/08/50-of-the-time-it-works-every-time/ I actually know the author of the original article, and he had well above a 3.2 GPA.
