Applied to top 10 programs for masters.

 

GRE quant 165, verbal 160

GPA 3.97 both in and out of major

research experience, no publications

cutting edge and useful capstone project

3 LOR's (1 of them kinda weak, just from classes) from the most relevant profs at my state school

4 internships, 2 highly related, 1 from when i was in a different major

lots and lots of extracurriculars that are related to teaching

 

It's really the no publications part that has me sweating my butt off. I look back and really wish I had published my capstone, but we didn't have the time to prepare it for a nice conference or journal. Plus, the low verbal, but tbh, 2 of my in major profs said they had never seen a better SOP, so I'm not too worried, especially given CS.
