lady_coffee Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Hi all - Did anyone receive a confirmation email that their application had been received/completed at Indiana-Bloomington? My online status reads "submitted" but I haven't received any official word from them...
poco_puffs Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 (edited) I received an e-mail on January 8th confirming that my application was complete. (I'm applying for an M.A.) Edited January 26, 2010 by poco_puffs
Venetia Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 I got an email from Bev Hankins saying that some stuff was missing, and then another one to confirm that it had all arrived. So perhaps the emails only go out to inform when stuff is missing? I really appreciated being told- none of the other schools I've applied to contacted me at all!
soxpuppet Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 I too got an email on the 8th saying my application was complete. The way it's set up everyone without an MA already applies to the MA but should indicate they'd like to continue through for the PhD.
growing19 Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Bev sent me a confirmation email, but I had been in contact with her post-deadline regarding a LOR. You could give her a call, if you are concerned. She's incredibly helpful.
astroturf Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 I received an e-mail from Bev Hankins shortly after I submitted to say the department had all my materials. I am also applying for the MA, though.
Nighthob Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Ditto on the confirmation email from Bev Hankins. And bless them and Purdue for sending confirmations! I wish every school would send a quick email confirming the application status.
lady_coffee Posted January 29, 2010 Author Posted January 29, 2010 Thanks all! Some of my materials were missing when I called (had been misplaced, etc.) but Bev Hankins was an absolute gem and everything was recovered. Whew!
