I applied. Haven't heard anything yet :/

I applied and haven't heard anything. At the suggestion of my current undergrad research advisor I sent an email to the prof I'm most interested in working with saying I got in at another place and asking if he was taking on new students next year, and if he knew when admissions decisions would be given out. Unfortunately the prof I want is on leave this semester and wasn't able to tell me much of anything :\

...though he did say that he might take on a couple of new students next semester, even though he doesn't really know right now what his funding situation will be.

previous years results show 3'rd week of February is the time.

I didn't see many acceptance or rejection from Princeton CS.

It made me think they have a small department and intake rate is very low. ( probably like jhu)

That seems to make sense to me. I know there are a grand total of four machine learning people there (half of which seem to do bioinformatics, more or less), which is a fairly small amount, I think.

do you know how big is the department?

 their intake size?

I am not sure about Princeton's PhD intake. But, I think they have a small Computer Science department.

Regarding MSE CS, it seems that Princeton restarted its MS program last year. Last year they gave out 5 admits. 3 joined. This year, they plan to admit a similarly small number.

I found this on the Princeton's Website : http://gradschool.pr...ssion_stats.pdf
