Visit day

I have applied to some doctoral and masters programs and got invited for a visit day from Michigan and UCLA. I was wondering, what other schols have sent invitations. Also, when they invite you for a visit day and an interview, does that mean I made a first cut? I was wondering if I didn't make a cut for schools that I haven't heard from. Anyway, good luck everyone!

What concentration did you apply to at UCLA? And was it for Masters or PhD? I applied to MPH-epi, and have had no such invites But I have seen on other posts/forums (studentdoctor.net) that some applying to UCLA's CHS track have gotten Visit Day invitations. Either way, I don't think an invitation for Visit Day can be a bad thing, so congrats! ;-)

Did you get invited for the masters or the phd? I think it may be different for the two programs........

For UCLA, the program is for both the masters and the phd according to the email. For Michigan, I got invited for the masters program. From the other thread, it seems like Hopkins, Harvard, and Yale have already contacted people they want to interview. Does that mean I did not make the first cut? sigh..

You know I don't think Hopkins and Harvard have a formalized interview program, but I do know Yale does. Someone mentioned that Harvard, and Hopkins will interview people they want to know more about, but some may get accepted without even a conversation. So I hope that is true........ I hope. Maybe we still stand a chance. I did not apply to Yale, but did the other two.

If I haven't been invited to Hopkins for visit day/interview by now, does that mean I should not have too much hope? I am scared because there are so many ppl who got into the same program by now (health policy)

I did not get any interview from Yale.. i guess no Yale for me.. sigh..

I know that Yale interviews all people who they are considering for acceptance, so if you have not heard it may not be good, unfortunately. You should check the website for Hopkins, as all the people are getting their decision there also. Go all the way to the bottom on the first page after you sign in.

I still have not heard from Michigan or Harvard, both for the PhD. Feel free to PM me if you want to chat etc.
