mk3475 Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 Hi, so I'm just freaking out because by tomorrow(4/15) I have to notify whether or not I'll attend the university to which I was accepted. (Master's program) However, decisions from other schools have not been made and they want me to wait another 2 weeks for it. Frankly, if I get admitted to either of these 2 schools, I would rather attend here. So I was wondering if I could say I would be attending by tomorrow, wait until the other two results come out, and kindly ask for release for the previous school and attend the other accepted institution.
thex11factor Posted April 15, 2017 Posted April 15, 2017 I think that happens all the time with wait lists and such
mk3475 Posted April 15, 2017 Author Posted April 15, 2017 Thanks for answering! So it is possible to request for release from the first university I said I would commit when I receive another decision from another school?
thex11factor Posted April 15, 2017 Posted April 15, 2017 you could always ask for an extension and explain your situation
Bird of Passage Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 Ask for the extension. This worked for me because I was in a similar situation
