being11 Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 (edited) Hello, I have some questions about my GRE score. I'm going to apply for admission to graduate schools in America. My major is East Asian Languages and Literature and already got MA degree. My GRE score is 159(verbal) / 167(Math) / 4.0(Writing) I hope to go to one of the top schools in America. Do I have any chance with my score? Edited April 23, 2017 by being11
Levon3 Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 @being11, you can see average GRE scores for your program on the US news and world report site, and you may also find average scores on the schools' websites. Additionally, you might contact them to find out if they have a minimum cutoff score, which would save you the application fee if you have no chance.
Levon3 Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Also, you might try searching the results page to see a range of scores that have been posted for your program choices.
BunnyN Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 My GRE score is almost the same! When the professor interviewed me, she suggested that the score would be good enough. Don't worry! Focus on other aspects in your application.
