I am in a specialized masters program in business. I am hoping to apply for a PhD in liberal arts in the fall (either Sociology or Urban Planning) and I was wondering how my low masters GPA would affect me? I may earn a C in one of my finance classes this semester. I graduated undergrad with honors in my liberal arts degree and all my masters classes are in an entirely new field to me (finance). When I graduate from my masters, I anticipate my GPA will hover around 3.2. How much will this hurt my PhD application? 680 GMAT (out of 800). At least 2 publications (possibly 3) by graduation
