schlechtdurchdacht Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 Hello! I'm hoping for recommendations for one-year interdisciplinary master's programs (or programs in conventional disciplines that are open to interdisciplinary work). I'm looking for programs that focus on continental philosophy, intellectual history, critical theory, poststructuralism, etc. – I'm especially interested in Foucault, Wittgenstein/Lyotard, and spatial theory. Thoughts? Thank you!
ZIsrow Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Do you have a 3-year or 4-year BA? https://globalcenterforadvancedstudies.org/ma/ This program is technically a 2-year interdisciplinary MA with a lot of faculty and courses that may interest you and would enable you to complete that research either in person or online. However, if you have a 4-year BA, you may be able to complete it in one-year, though I am not sure of that. You would have to contact them to ask directly whether or not it can be completed in one-year.
CakeTea Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 If you consider one year MA abroad, I would suggest MA Political Theory UK programs: LSE, St. Andrews, Edinburgh, Warwick, Sheffield, Birmingham, Manchester Holland: Leiden, Amsterdam, Maastricht, Tilburg
jazzontherocks Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 Also adding City, University of London for its one-year MAs in your areas of interest, Philosophy included.
