katalytik Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 I would like to apply to this, but my research may not be "sciency" enough. I do work in clinical information technology, but I am not a CS guy. If I have to pick a technical field in CS, it would be human computer interaction (HCI). Does anyone have any ideas about topic eligibility for Hertz? I wrote to the foundation, and should hear from them soon sometime I hope.
zxcv Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 The Hertz fellowship is for "applications of the physical sciences." One of the application questions is explicitly how your research falls into this category. I do not think human computer interaction would cut it. If you can make a compelling argument for that essay, then you should apply.
