chrisblack Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 Hey all, I am beginning my grad career this fall and have received a Federal Work Study offer ($1k each semester). I certainly would like to accept this offer, but I already have to fulfill TA duties to meet my stipend requirements and am wondering about the workload. Is it a normal thing for a grad student to TA, FWS, and take classes? Does anyone here have any experience/advice regarding this? Hoping that it is manageable and I can accept. Thanks. Best to all.
WorldPeaceMaker2010 Posted May 19, 2017 Posted May 19, 2017 If it's only 1k extra a semester, how many hours of extra work is it? For such a low amount, I can't imagine it's that many hours....
chrisblack Posted May 22, 2017 Author Posted May 22, 2017 Not sure how many extra hours of work, as positions aren't posted til the semester begins. That being said, I can accept it without committing (accepting the WS doesn't mean I accept a job). That will be my course of action. Thanks!
