sushitooth Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 I always thought that a federal government job referred to the national level, as opposed to state? Is this incorrect? Because I've seen advertisements such as, "Find federal state jobs." Either way, do state government employees work on a different pay shedule than the familiar GS one? Or the same? If I am being employed by the State of NY, for example, should I be looking at the GS scale or no? If no, how can I find information on state government pay? Thank you!
flyers29 Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Yes, two completely different things. And the payscale will depend on the individual state.
