InterGrad Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 (edited) Hi everyone, I have a question: Is there a better test between gmat and gre for graduate programs at SAIS/SFS/similar schools? I have a 99th percentile LSAT and I'm planning to apply for a double degree with those schools if admitted to 1st tier DC-area law school (likely to happen) while 1L. I am pretty confident I can get a high score (I'm arguably better on both those tests than on lsat). So... What should I study? Thanks!! PS: International, should it matter... ExponentialDecay Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 ...why? If you want to be a lawyer, the MPA is useless. If you don't want to be a lawyer, the JD is useless.
InterGrad Posted July 9, 2017 Author Posted July 9, 2017 I could disagree on that, but let's assume you're right. So I want an International Relations Masters... GMAT or GRE?

CPRMPA Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 (edited) I've never taken the GMAT so take this with a grain of salt, but...from what I've heard, the GMAT is more quant-heavy whereas the GRE's verbal section is a bit more challenging. So that distinction could help determine which test is better for you to take, based on your individual strengths. I believe many (most?) of the programs you'd be applying to would accept either test. Edited July 10, 2017 by CPRMPA
