"Graduate School Final Review"

Hi everyone! One of my application statuses changed from the typical "your application is with the committee blah blah blah" to just "Graduate School Final Review." Any idea what that means? No indication of acceptance, rejection, wait list, etc...

Hi everyone! One of my application statuses changed from the typical "your application is with the committee blah blah blah" to just "Graduate School Final Review." Any idea what that means? No indication of acceptance, rejection, wait list, etc...

Maybe that means they made a decision? Or that they reviewing applications one last time before they send out letters? Sorry I'm not more help -- I've never heard that status before.

For UMN's MURP, I received an e-mail from the department last Friday saying I was accepted. Then today the applyyourself application status changed from "Submitted/complete/whatever" to "Graduate School Final Review". So this probably means you'll get a decision soon, and I can't imagine why they'd do a "final review" if you had been rejected by the department, so I'd bet it's good news.

I think it usually means that you've been accepted by your department, but the graduate school needs to make sure you've met all their specifications (min gpa, etc). You should be hearing soon!
