csantamir Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Hi everyone, I’m searching for PhD programs that are strong in IR/Asia, particularly East & Southeast Asia, outside of Ivy League/top 20 schools that I know I’ll never get into (low undergrad GPA, probably low GRE despite good grad GPA). So far I’ve identified potential advisors in: GWU George Mason Virginia Delaware Indiana Bloomington Rutgers UMass Amherst Any other schools I should consider? Thanks!
Tiffany612 Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 Hi! I am also thinking about applying to PhD programs in IR, with a focus on East Asia. I think you may want to check Cornell, UMD, USC, AU, Umich as well. Good luck!
csantamir Posted October 25, 2017 Author Posted October 25, 2017 Hi Tiffany, Thanks for the tip but my undergrad GPA and GRE scores are low, so I'm not applying to top-ranked schools. Right now I'm thinking Indiana, ND, GWU, Delaware, Rutgers, CUNY and GSU. Any other suggestions? Cheers

They have professors focusing on China, Japan and India (not sure about Southeast Asia). All the best
