I have completed my Bachelors in Engineering (IT) and am currently working in the same field. Since a very long time I have been wanting to leave the IT sector and pursue a career in either Government or national/International NGO's. And hence, I am looking forward to pursue MPA from a decent university in USA. Given my mostly irrelevant background and work experience, can someone please tell me how easy/difficult it is going to be for me do follow my dream? Will I be accepted into a good enough program that can kick start my career in the field of my interest? Also, please suggest programs I should apply to. Any suggestion will be of great help!
