SheldonCopper Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 Hi all, as you all know, there are some statistics Ph.D. programs like Chicago, UW, Columbia and Wharton which highly encourage applicants to take subject GRE math exam. I am wondering what score range would be plus/minus factor. Stanford says their admitted average math GRE percentile is 82% but I assume it is higher nowadays so I am not really counting on this. Overall belief in math applicationĀ is one should at least get 800 for top schools so I am just wondering what score range would be regarded as good/mediocre/bad in statistics. On top of it, is it true that statistics department expect international students to score higher than domestic students? I am just asking this since there is data telling incoming OSU Ph.D. in math had quite a significant discrepancy in average subject math GRE score between international students and domestic ones.
