Clinical Psych PhD F18 Waitlisted Pre-Interview

Hi everyone!

So I just got waitlisted at one of the clinical psych programs I applied to (IUPUI - anyone else get waitlisted too?). Does this mean I'll have to wait for other applicants who got an interview to actually get interviewed or reject the interview invite? Also, I was wondering if anyone else has experienced being put on the waitlist for interviews before? Did you end up getting an interview later on? 

Should I reply to the graduate coordinator who notified me of being on the waitlist?

I think replying never hurts and it may result in them remembering your name down the line if an interview slot does become available. 

I was waitlisted for an interview in the past and ended up not getting an interview BUT I think it's worth being optimistic about
