@out.to.sea no not yet, I didn't think that was necessary until you start planning your courses. Is that what your meeting is for? @Stasia yes it did! I got annoyed waiting on Monday so I emailed them asking when I could expect my official letter and I got a response ASAP but they were very confused at first. They said all letters went out on the 15th of May and to check my hotmail and SOPHAS account (which tells you nothing????) but I found mine in my ualberta account and it was only sent on Friday the 29th. I'd email SPH - the delays are nuts!

For those going to UofA, did you enroll in SPH 101 yet? I can't seem to find the class when I search for it on beartracks.

@Stasia My Beartracks also had the wrong program, but I can't get on the website now to see if it has been changed yet. I was accepted to both the MPH and MSc back in April and then had to email a director my preference but my Beartracks was also wrong and said I chose MSc when I didn't. Then on the 15th I got a rejection letter from the MSc program but am still waiting on my MPH acceptance letter (which has been delayed for weeks now yet I've already got orientation emails). I'd keep waiting - they seem to be having quite the trouble with SOPHAS and getting admission letters out.

I heard back about two weeks ago from the director of the stream I applied to!

@kyuuri Congrats!!! I'm still waiting, hopefully I hear some good news! If you don't mind me asking - did they email or call you? And how long do you have to accept?

@kyuuri I'm in the exact same boat! I don't really know of any big differences between the two - except UofA's is shorter. I haven't heard a lot of feedback on that stream at UofA but the rest of their public health programs seem super popular. I'm also gonna assume UofA also has smaller class sizes - I was checking old graduate lists and only 4/5 people graduated in that stream. Hopefully we hear back soon!!

Do we know how long U of A typically gives you to accept an offer?

Does anyone know when we will hear back from Alberta besides "by the end of April"?? I thought it may be last week or this week from this webpage I found (https://drive.google.com/a/ualberta.ca/file/d/0B-BNQ4SVkDcWVWZ2dHlxNDdBM3c/edit?pli=1) on last years process. Also does anyone know how it works if you applied to two programs for Alberta on SOPHAS?? Could you get accepted to both or just one? I'm starting to wish I made my second pick my first choice instead!

@envy22 Thanks!! Just out of curiosity, is there a reason you are picking Toronto's program over UBC's? I haven't heard much comparison between the two but would like to know if there were some major differences!

Incase anyone else is waiting on Toronto's OEH program, I just got a call for an interview next week!

Just finding this forum now! I've applied to Ubc, Toronto, Alberta, and Simon Fraser. I've already been accepted to Ubc (OEH) and Simon Fraser (Environmental and occupational), just wondering if anyone who also applied to Toronto's OEH program got a weird email asking them if they were interested in the research or professional option?? I clearly stated what I wanted in my letter of intent and didn't get an interview request! But I plan on going to UBC or maybe Alberta if I ever hear back!
