  1. FYI, Vanderbilt Peabody professional tuition will be about $1334 per credit not the $1600+ mentioned earlier.
  2. I was there for most of the events but had to miss Saturday. What is your "concentration"?
  3. Visited Michigan Friday and had a good time. The program is obviously very impressive but don't think it is a good fit for me and my long term goals. The fact that the program takes 6 years to completion as a full-time student basically removes it from consideration. Looks like I'm down to USC and Arizona...I'm very excited about both options.
  4. Not for sure. I'm going to Michigan tomorrow but I was very impressed with Arizona.
  5. OMG Vanderbilt is charging 1600+ per credit! I'll be sending in my "not coming card" tomorrow!
  6. What has been the dress code at the accepted student weekend events?
  7. Visited the University of Arizona over the weekend & must say that I was really impressed. The faculty is really an impressive group of people, weather is great, quality program, great facilities, affordable living, etc. Originally I viewed the UofA as a fall back option but now I'm quite sure I will choose them over USC/Michigan. Interesting how a visit can change your perspective.
  8. Not to open a debate on PhD vs EdD but given my recent acceptance to the Vanderbilt EdD I'm wondering about the value of the program. I'm interested in careers in administration (specifically VP of Student Affairs) and I know PhD is the stronger degree but wonder if the Vandy EdD will be all I need...
  9. Does anyone know the status of the Vanderbilt Ed.D applications. Just curious about the timeline...
  10. Has anyone heard anything from NYU or UCLA education PhD programs?
  11. Yesterday was a good day. My phone call with Michigan & skype with USC went well. Both professors were very friendly & seemed like good people to work with. Although I don't have any acceptances in hand yet my confidence is certainly growing based upon these conversations. I don't want to think about it too much as the process already dominates most of my thoughts but there are a lot of pros and cons for Michigan and USC. Well I'm anxious to hear as more acceptances roll in...Good luck all!
  12. Congrats on acceptance to Georgia! I hear Athens is a great place, never been but a co-worker of mine and her husband both completed degrees from there and loved it.
  13. Okay so now I'm joining those of you who are freaking out! As of yesterday I had only heard from USC and was starting to settle on the fact that it would be a great fit and awesome place to be for the next 4 years - then I get a phone interview invite from Wisconsin and Michigan! I'm afraid I will be a wreck this whole weekend worrying about my interviews on Monday and Tuesday....
