Received an announcement from SSRC last night re: another grant competition. Got excited about receiving something from SSRC and was slightly disappointed to learn nothing new about my application. I wrote back and thanked them for the announcement and asked if there was any indication of when notifications for the IDRF would go out. Emily wrote back immediately and let me know notifications would go out in May. Hang in there!

I just received notification of award for a full grant to Brazil!!!! I can't believe it. Good luck to all!

Anyone hear anything new? I received a transcript request in early Feb but have heard nothing since. I have several irons in the fire and any news is good news at this point. Hoping someone out there has heard something, anything, anything at allllllll.

Ok, time for me to stop my OCD trolling and post. I am a Ph.D. candidate full applicant to Brazil. My anxiety level is seriously getting out of hand, but (incessantly) checking this forum has helped (make it worse). Late last night I learned that one of my committee members (professor of geography) has received a Fulbright to Brazil for the fall so I assume Brazil is just MERE MOMENTS away from notifying ETAs and full grant applicants. They have to be. RIGHT?? Right. I don't know when he learned the news. Now I am alternately paranoid I won't be selected/more hopeful I will be selected because he was one of my letter of recommendation authors. When will the madness end?
