not awarded VG/F G/G G/E The reviewers seemed to contradict each other, but each had merit in their critiques. All the reviewers thought my proposed research was very interesting but criticized my academic performance from undergrad. I think coming from a small program didn't do anything for my chances either. I have other external funding lined up for the next couple years, so definitely not the end of the world. Congrats to those who were awarded!

VG/VG F/F First reviewer thought my background was solid and my proposal was great. The second reviewer, well, he dispised my very existence.

I had a 2.96 undergrad gpa, GRE Scores of V:530 Q:800 AW:4.0, and 1 first author publication. I was rejected by all chemistry PhD programs I applied to last year. So far accepted to 1 PhD program that had a 3.0 cutoff (must have rounded up).
