That's a piece of information that would've been really nice for them to send after the first round of rejections. Another person in my lab has not heard back yet - she was in B2. They hold off so that if someone declines the award, they can offer it to another person (I think anyway). And don't beat yourself up over it...success and failure, much like everything else in life, seems to be pretty cyclical--be on the lookout for inflection points and until then, just try to enjoy the ride.
