  1. Did anyone who applied for Electrical Engineering got an interview?
  2. The decision frame for the schoolarship is the following week. I dont think that they will conduct last minute interviews.
  3. Did anyone who applied to Electrical Engineering received any response?
  4. Did you receive a mail that the ESOP application is forwarded to the respective department, simillar to the one about the application to the program? I didn't not receive one, and I am kind of worried whether my esop application is going to be reviewed.
  5. How do you know that the interview invites for the scholarship are sent at the present time? I haven't even heard anything about the admission let alone for the scholarship. I am applying for Electrical Engineering. First choice.
  6. I am currently aplying for EE MSc (and maybe some MEng programms too). I am ambivalent for mentioning my work experience on my CV and my SOP. Right after I started college I also started working as a Software developer on my own, for about a year. Nothing important really. I just founded projects from software firms that could be outscourced and completed them. Afterwards, for about two years, I worked for a local publisher, translating engineering textbooks from English to my native language. Both of this jobs are not related to any real accademic or profesional experience and I am not sure if I should include them to my sop or my cv. I was kind of hopping to use them as an offset for my grades. They are not actually bad, they are good, but they could be much better. Thanks for the help!
  7. Please have a look at my essay and post some feedback. Thanks!! Leaders are created by the demands that are placed on them. Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the statement and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, you should consider ways in which the statement might or might not hold true and explain how these considerations shape your position. Over the course of human race there is one group of people that constantly leaves a mark in history - leaders. Whether political or corporate they find a unique way to make an impact. Allthough, this is is not due to some special characteristic or fate. It rather because leaders have a remarkable virtue to face the challanges and respond to the demands that are placed on them. In order to illustrate the above, we need to understand what premisses create leaders. A group of people that work together might sometimes come to difficult position - a dead end. A corporation on verge of default or a county overwhemled by goverment dept is two of that posisions. In those cases all of the people of the group surely want to overcome the difficully. However, they probably lack the motive and the will to take actions. Here is the point where the importance of a leader becomes apparent. It is the man who will assume the responsibillity to instill the motive to the crowd. He will respond to the common demand of facing the difficulty put putting the group together and creating an escape plan. Moreover, there is a far more important situation that creates leaders. Anykind of group will surely want to advance and flourish. A company would like to increase it's market share and a country would like to increase the power of it's currency. This is not to each individual's member ambitions and goals. It is rather because the competitiveness of the grobalization require constant development. Groups who fail to make any progress will eventually cease to exist. In this case leaders assume the graetest of all responsibillities: they must explore oppotrunities and ways to take advantage of them. Those who do that succesfully ensure the survival of their group and their personall recognision as leaders. The conclusion is that the demand for development and progress is the spark that creates leaders. Those who oppose to the above ideas might have a good argument in their arsenal. Sometimes leaders are not created as a response to demands. There are surely examples of people who rose to power because they toke advantage of illicit and unethical means. However, those are not authentic leaders. Leaders are those who receive approval from the people. Individuals who exploit weaknesses to gain power do not gain public acceptance. We cannot considers them leaders. It is evident the response to public demands is vital in creating and sustaining leadership. More demands create the need for more leaders.
  8. Please have a look on my issue essay and post some feedback. Thanks!!! Although innovations such as video, computers, and the Internet seem to offer schools improved methods for instructing students, these technologies all too often distract from real learning. Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the statement and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, you should consider ways in which the statement might or might not hold true and explain how these considerations shape your position. It is a fact that the technological advancement that we experience for about half a acentury have brought radical altterations in our lifes. The most important of them is the positive impact that technology has on education. However, some old-fashioned individuals argue that when we use new means of instruction like the computers and the internet, students distract for the actuall learning. This is certainly a really conservative posision to take. First of all, in order to illustate the above, we must take a glimpse at the impact that technology had in the process of infrormation and knowledge speading. Looking few years back it is easy to see that when a new discovery was made the time it took for it to reach any posible audiance was big. Now, the internet has given access to virtually any kind of information that is known to man. With just a few clicks students can learn and be inform about anything a class requires, without have to looking at hundreads of pages and books. So, the comfort that technology haw brought cannot be questioned. In addition to the above, it is imperative that we consider the new means of instruction available to educators. Up until recently they were certainly limited. A teacher had a book and a pen at his disposal. However, now he can illustate the constent of his class via several means. He can use computer presentations, videos and interactive simulatons. Explaining an equation on the board is good but having the students run a computer simulation on that equation is surely more instructive. Moreover, the impact on other fields like medice is even more important. Understanding the structure of the heart or the liver from a two dimmensinal image is realy difficult. However, with modern computer graphics this obstacle can be easily overcomed. In that way students can focus on undertanding the contect and not be impeded by the flaws of the instruction mean. Those who disagree of the above ideas have a stong argument in their arsenal. The learning process can be indeed distracted if students are left alone in the technological world. The information is copious one can easily be lost if proper guidance is not available. This is were the importance of scholls and teachears becomes apparent. When the advancements offered by technology are used correctly in the context of a proper curriculum they can offer important improvement in the instruction process. However, is they are not used correcttly by trained and efficient instructors, the result can be inversed. In conclusion, we see technology has give instructors unbelievable flexibility in the process of conveying knowledge. So its importance and positive impact cannot be questioned.
