  1. I would look at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, they're definitely more visually focused than say MA/MBA schools like Claremont and SMU. Avoid Georgetown and American University as well if that's not your thing. http://www.artsadministration.org/find-a-program/graduate-other-programs/ That website is a great resource and where I got started on my journey.
  2. At my internship with one of my LOR writers. I gasped, I cried, and called my mom. It was actually a graduate student from my Undergrad school who emailed me. Much faster turn around than anticipated.
  3. I guess what I really meant to ask was what everyones interview experiences were. Way to over complicate things for myself! Ha!
  4. After a month of dead silence from everywhere I finally got an interview. Now I'm just curious as to what protocol for interviews are typically, like who interviewed you and how were you approached. I have two interviews (dual degree) with the chair of the department for one school and the director of admissions for the other school, is this normal? Im so thrilled to finally hear something I can't stop thinking about it.
  5. Today I got a Newsletter from SAIC asking for a donation. I AM NOT GOING TO GIVE YOU MONEY I DON'T EVEN KNOW IF YOU WANT ME. I wanted to cry. They have been the worst- CONGRATULATIONS... your application has been submitted. WHYYYYYYYYY. I just want to get my rejections over with.
  6. Hi guys! I am currently an Art History major at a large state school, but with a very well renowned art school. I am currently an intern at the state art commission where I work with artist opportunities and both individual and organization grants. I have fallen in love with arts management/admin and policy and have decided to pursue my masters in the program. My biggest problem is that there simply aren't that many schools that offer this program. You can see below the five schools I'm applying too, but I still feel like this isn't enough especially with college admissions being a crapshoot and nothing is guaranteed. Just in case my stats are: Undergrad GPA: 3.7 Major GPA: 4.0 GRE: 312 (Not great at all) Letters of Rec: Fairly strong What do you guys think, for my program do I need more schools? And any advice for which ones to add? Thanks a bunch!
