Sorry for taking to long to offer any information--I am visiting a department this week. I heard around 7PM Rutgers time that I was accepted. The email was from Branden Fitelson and seemed fairly generic, though very nice and enthusiastic. He said something about how great the admit group is and so I am assuming all notices are out, but I have no way of being sure. PM me if you have any other questions.

I can confirm that NYU is sending out acceptances because I just got one! I'm in shock!

Oh well thank you! I think, for now, I am going to hold off on the e-mail. I was looking at past years and it seems either they admit in multiple waves or they hold onto this internal wait list and admit when others decline their offer. Plus, it seems a little early to bug them.
