    Marquette?

Well, with 254 views on this conversation, methinks there may be some folks out there who aren't as prone to forum commenting as we are. Hope everyone has a good day today!
  2. Hi Gus, just attempted a quick PM- let me know if it doesn't get to you.

    Marquette?

Perhaps this is my naivete, but if you were accepted at Baylor, Wheaton, then what the heck? (Again, some serious naivete here.) What more is required? Congratulations for being accepted at some great programs. Bummed about Marquette- we are on the west coast as well, and fortunately, no letters have been received to our address yet, but no phone calls either. I'm not at home with my husband right now, so he's had to go to the mailbox for Fri/Sat without me (being vulnerable here!). I'm glad I'll be home soon for whatever news is a' comin when I get home for the Monday mail. Still in hope for some late but good news. If no rejections, then is there still a chance, like at Boston U.? Okay, off to watch Zombieland and have a semblance of a normal weekend.
  4. So I'm not the only one who hasn't gotten anything via mail or any other delivery method yet? Gracious sakes.
  5. Branwen, love your new signature line. Just saw Hogfather - loved it. Great way to spend some waitin' around time.
  6. Hate to burst your bubble honey, but you're probably less alone here than you realize! Then again, I just hit the ripe old age of 30, and when I read of younger applicants I get a bit jealous of the energy that probably comes with 9 fewer years. Husband is inching closer to 37. Just in case it helps you enjoy your time around here more! Oh yes, I go to bed around 8pm at night, so that makes me at least 50, right?
  7. "The only way a dream can die is if you choose to give up on it. There's almost always another way or opportunity to get where you want to be." I'll have more time to ponder this statement. Good stuff. I keep having dreams of packing up our F150, books and Yorkie, and hitting the road and just going - somewhere, anywhere, whatever. Just get the heck out of here and not be chained to work and a desk. My brother's planning to do the Pacific Crest Trail this April, and it's looking better and better all the time. Not that I'd have any clue whatsoever how to endure a trek like that.
  8. The sounds of money flowing from our checking account into Apple's coffers. Stupid ol' iphone that I've become so used to having for business/personal maps music funny youtube and coffee place finding!! And then again, how does one compare silly tragedy like reliance on expensive technology when compared to seriousness of Chile. (Okay, and if I hear one more television news person call it Chill-y and not Chee-lay, I may really lose it.)
  9. The glass of my iphone cracking, slivering off into a few small pieces. Sigh. Someone pass the pepperoni pizza.
  10. Ah Good thing I've still got a sense of humor about all of this! Thank you for the info about Marquette. For all you sucka's wanting Marquette as a safe school, back off yo And rock on! Big congrats about Yale and hope you have a great weekend at ND.
  11. Does it seem like schools are taking longer this year based on past Results, or is it that we just aren't getting contacted? Marquette had everything out by now in prior years. Bleh.
  12. . . The low buzz of the fridge here at work. . . Literally, a cricket (only chirped once, but still!) . . When I refresh the Results page, my own pulse in my right ear. So strange. . . My phone not ringing. Okay, I'll stop
  13. hears crickets . . .

  14. Oh man. Feel for you - - - oy vey. But that was funny.
  15. Seriously - please, Marquette. Enough of your coyness already. Some of us would like to get some sleep.
