How would you go about the order of lab rotations? Let's say there are labs you're interested in but there's also one particular lab you definitely would want to join based on what you've read on their website and in their publications. Would you rotate in this particular lab first or last? The advantage of rotating there first might be that you can get a foot in the door before other potentially interested students do. Or would it probably be best to rotate there last so that you can really make your mind about the other labs you're interested in and see if your top choice will still be the same at the end? Any thoughts?

Sorry to hear that, arnds! Well, I also was strongly encouraged to apply and ended up doing so. Since I didn't hear back from them for a long time and had another offer to decide on, I contacted them last week to inquire about my application status. In fact, they told me that I was selected for a skype interview. However, I am still waiting to be contacted by a professor to arrange an interview date... Also, on their facebook page they posted something like "We sent out 50 status notifications today" in late December. However, none of those made it to the results page here. So I really don't know what to think of the program.

Thanks! @cleverfool: With whom do you interview if I may ask? I am really looking forward to this interview. From what I've read, I really love the program. I also visited Madison last year and it seems like such a great place to spend five years of grad school.
