I'm actually an undergrad at UCSD so I know the program pretty well so I won't be attending the open house. You will probably find me in the computer lab on the 1st floor of the new structural engineering building if you want to chat.

I've heard back and gotten into UCSD (M.S.), U of Michigan (M.Eng), and LeHigh (M.Eng). I'm having a hard time choosing between and M.Eng degree at U of Michigan and LeHigh. Anyone have any information about the M.Eng program at Michigan beyond what they say on their website?

Hey guys I need some help deciding between these two programs. The M.Eng program at LeHigh seems geared towards preparing students for professional work which I like. There isn't as much information on Michigan's program and I want to know the balance of theory and application before I make my decision. I'm from California and plan on working on the west coast post graduation. Which school is more recognized by companies on the West Coast?

I'm in the same situation as you. I don't have top notch stats (3.5 MGPA and V156 Q159) and I'm finding it difficult to find schools that are the right match. I'm applying to Lehigh's M.Eng program for their unique curriculum. The average GPA of admitted applicants isn't too high either. I go to UCSD right now and I think you have a decent chance of getting in. From what I've heard there have been people with much lower stats that have gotten in.
