Hey! I'm starting PSU in the fall for archaeology. Anyone else starting at PSU in September?

Hey, Any of you wonderful people out there applying to grad schools in Oregon for anthro? I'm applying to PSU and OSU for applied arch. I called OSU to inquire about auto-rejections for late letters of rec and they said they aren't going to start reviewing apps til next week most likely.

It does sound that way! Ooooh sounds so awesome to shadow an ME's office. What a cool experience! I was nervous about one of my applications because the letters of rec all arrived after the deadline. Been reading horror stories on here about automatic rejections for that reason. I called the department today and fortunately, they said that it shouldn't be a problem at all. Phew! But...they aren't going to start reviewing applications for a week or two so let the wait commence.

Good luck to all (and congrats for successes so far!). My app deadlines just passed within the last couple of weeks, so let the wait begin. I'm interested in applied archaeology, public archaeology and the Northwest Coast as a region. Especially the Olympic Peninsula My fieldwork background is in the classics. I did a bioarch did in S. Italy. So fun!

I'm stressing. I hate the wait I applied to 2 schools. The deadlines were/are Jan. 15 and Feb. 1. I'm not going to hear for ages! What stresses me out most is that for the Jan. 15 school, my letters of rec and GRE scores all came in after the deadline...I'm hoping they still consider my app since the stuff I submitted was all on time. We shall see!
