Even though I have already committed to one program, I am still curious to know the results of the programs that I have not heard anything from. Do you guys think if I don't hear anything until now, it means it will be a no ?

Got waitlisted by Penn State Hershey! This came as a surprise! Not sure what was going on there since all the interviews were great and I worked there last summer

I remember Pitt will call you first and they don't email decisions. Instead, they will send you an UPS package with the letter. Maybe, you will hear back from some of your interviewers. I got 5 emails from interviewers even before I get the official letter. Good luck!

So I am seriously considering Penn right now and would love some insights about Penn area of Philly. I really fell in love with Philly during my visit but I am sure I have not been exposed to everything yet. What should I know before choosing Penn/Philly in general. Right now I am hesitating between Philly and NYC

It seems like some people have already heard back from Mt Sinai (whether it is an offer or rejection). I have not heard anything yet, does it mean they are still looking at my file or are they just sending rejections in waves?

Accepted to Weill Cornell IMP! Did not think I would get it after getting grilled by my first interviewer.

Anyone heard back from Weill Cornell yet? I thought the results were supposed to come out today

So I guess by now, no other schools will be sending out interview invites right, especially some of the most competitive ones?

I am on the same page too. I like the fact that they have a strong immuno program + connections to SKI and Rockefeller. However, I am not a fan of the housing either. In addition, I prefer being on an actual campus instead of being in scattered buildings in the city. At least, it is a great place with great science so I will still put it on the table if they ever give me an offer

Persimmony, were you interviewing for Weill Cornell BCMB? I was there for the IMP program. What do you think about the school in general?

I was at the first weekend and I heard back 10 days after so I am guessing you will probably hear back this coming Tuesday (that's when I got my result)

Just got my first acceptance to UMass Medical! Now I won't have to be that stressed about my upcoming interviews

Hey, I did apply for BBS. The interviews were extremely casual. It was my first one so I came in pretty nervous but after the first one, everything turned into casual convos about science. They love talking about their science so 30 mins will fly by really quickly. The grad students were very honest too so it was helpful to hear from their perspective. In general, it was a good experience. The only thing is that they put everything on Friday so it could get exhausting (there is a dinner on Thursday evening as well).

I saw 2 people from Penn CAMB heard back on Saturday. I am going there this weekend so I am getting nervous/excited at the same time

Anyone here has had interviews at Penn CAMB already or know of anyone who has already had the interview there? If you did, how "scary" were they? I am extremely nervous for this one since i am having it this coming week

Which program at Stony Brook did you apply to BG20? I applied to CMB but have not heard back yet so I guess I am out. Btw, I just had a faculty interviews today at UMass Medical so the nerve of my first interviews are now gone. It was much more casual than I thought. The only thing was that the PI loved to talk about themselves/their research so 30 mins flew by like nothing and I did not have chance to ask that many question. Don't know how well/badly I did though.
