Ahhh I just got rejected from Cornell I'm assuming that UT Austin has already admitted their people

I am working on my diversity statement (lol), Writing Sample and Resume. I finished my SOP about a couple of weeks ago (thank god) and I will be submitting my first application tomorrow. I'm kind of nervous about writing sample but at this point I am just hoping for the best

The thing is I wont have the opportunity to retake the test. Also, apps are due early next year and I don't think I will have the time to study AND take the test again. Yes, I know the essay is out of 6.0, I scored a 4.0 on the first GRE and a 3.5 the second time. I figure I will be submitting a writing sample so that could be a good indication of my writing.

I'm doing the Latin American and Caribbean Cluster, but there are a few others I am interested in as well.

I was just about to start my outline until I came across your post :-) I'm basically writing how being involved with the cluster will enhance my research capabilities. IDk

I am applying to Northwestern, CAL (both PhD's- No GRE required), Syracuse, NYU, Columbia and UCLA in Social Sciences. My GRE scores were 152 Verbal/141 math 3.5/4.0 Essay My undergraduate GPA is a 3.4 (3.3 in my major ) I have pretty good letters or recommendations and I have research experience Everyone is encouraging me to apply yet I'm felling pretty defeated

Hello Everyone! I will be applying to some MA and a few PhD programs this fall. It seems that Northwestern is the top choice for a lot of people. I will also be applying to CAL, Syracuse, NYU, Columbia and UCA Have you guys heard any good things about these programs?
