Haha, I luckily avoided the Stanford bullet. I realized at the last minute that the essay was 2 pages single-spaced and that I didn't have enough, so I decided not to waste my $125.

Oh, okay, its kind of hidden in there. I'm going to be in Boston on the 24th, so I'm probably going to miss the welcome dinner. Are we supposed to just email the address on the website? Airbnb might be a way to save some money on accommodations. I might give it a try.

Any idea from previous years if there's a list of positions available before the weekend? And we're sure the interview days are 24-26?

I ended up doing TaxHawk. I do a ton of cash transactions and it was really easy to just fill in total income minus total expenses. Maybe I was doing it wrong with TaxAct but it just didn't seem to want to work.

Yikes, that would be pushing it to get it back in time to get to HGSE by the 4th though. (Unless, as is quite possible, I have no understanding of what a "return" is. But I assume it's something the IRS sends back to me)

Sounds like a great problem to have ASzofer! Unrelated note: anyone sent in their taxes yet? I tried a week ago but couldn't get TaxAct to do it right. I need to find something that will allow me to just fill in a 1040EZ and submit online.

Rejected today. Pretty surprised, very disappointed. I had a bunch of LOR snafus with Brown so hopefully that's why.

If you were applying to a PhD a CV might be appropriate, but for a masters with your experience pretty much a standard resume should be fine, I would think. I didn't do anything special.

Still a bit stressed, but so much more relaxed now that I have an acceptance. I'm trying not to obsess over H (or my lousy application thereto) lol. I'm getting psyched about Penn (my dream school for undergrad), and if I get H I'm obviously going, but if not I'm pretty happy. Has getting GW helped at all?
