My condolences
Rejections aren't even logical--if they were, you could prepare for it. I was fine for my first two rejections, but the third one sent me into a six-hour fit of self-pity on the couch. Then the next two were okay, if a bit stinging! It is weird.
Completely agree. The worst is an onset of obsessive email checking. I usually don't do it but a few UCLA rejections went up and I am still left in the shadows......

Thought I was off this, and I'm back.
Looks like UCLA sent out some rejections, not too many though. So are there a lot of people out there still waiting to hear?
I'm being optimistic and allowing myself a few surf day-dreams. I emailed them to find out more, but no word. I'm hoping there is an unofficial waitlist going. It is looks they sent out rejections in waves in past years too though...
I'm still waiting. This wave thing bothers me a lot. Especially this late in the game yo.

Is there anyone here who still got no news from UCLA? The form on application status tracker says "Submitted - Pending Decision". Could that mean that I'm on the waitlist or they are just slow with updating rejections?

Haven't heard anything from UCLA yet. Saw two rejections on the results page.

I honestly just wanted news. I work in intelligence/political forecasting so if i get rejected from all 12 schools it is their loss really.... Applied in Political Theory/History of Political Thought.

Before I submitted my app, a POI added me on linkedin. Don't know what to make of it. Corresponded with the POI via email in the fall.

I have concerns with my undergrad gpa. I have a 3.0 overall and a 3.4 in the major at a top 5 LAC (coursework in the history of political thought and International Relations). I'm also wrapping up my MA in IR at a top program (3.95 gpa). Can an MA gpa offset a low undergrad gpa for the top 5-10 programs?
