  1. Just a quick FYI for those waiting for Lakehead. I got an email late Tues to say I've been offered admission. Deadline to accept is 3rd week of June.
  2. Oh, did you finally hear back from UVic, then? I'm sorry you got bad news. Good luck with the U of S program.
  3. In my limited knowledge on the topic, I believe it means you are most likely in. From what I understand, the department first recommends its selected students to the graduate program of the university, who then looks over your student records to ensure you meet their criteria, and unless there something unusual missing, you are in.
  4. Oh man, they're taking a long time. Waiting is so nerve wracking! Fingers crossed for you.
  5. Great ideas. I am terrible for this. Thanks!
  6. Still nothing from Lakehead. I contacted them about a week ago saying I had to respond to another offer by last Fri and they didn't give me any info apart from the fact they have no deadline to respond to applicants and they will send an email to personal and Lakehead email addresses when they do.
  7. Interesting, wtncffts! Yes, I personally found it useful to have the years in between. I had thought about going to grad school when I was about 24, but if I had, it would have been in a totally different field.
  8. Cima - my deadline to accept with UVic was yesterday, so hopefully that means some spots will open up next week for those still waiting. . .
  9. Wow, I'm definitely in the minority here. I finished UG at 22, worked, then was a stay at home mom for several years and am just now going back in my mid/late thirties to start this fall.
  10. For me it was the standard 4 years - taking 5 classes per semester and getting the summers off. Looking back, I would have benefited from not being in such a hurry to finish!
  11. I applied to 4, and have 1 conditional admit, 2 rejections and still waiting on one! They were all online for a Master of Public Health in Canada.
  12. I'm so sorry to hear that. I agree it's better than a rejection, but disappointing just the same.
  13. Thank you! I did get accepted to Uvic but I like Lakehead for their elective courses. There are pros and cons with each, but would love to know, and they are taking their time.
  14. No, didn't apply at U of S, so just waiting for Lakehead now. . .
