  1. You know it's that time of the year again.... grad recruitment weekend..... I don't know how many people have done this but being the grad student to trying to recruit prospective students can be a big pain in the glutes maximus. I was trying to tell/ reminded everyone that we have a Ph.D/MBA program at our institution and one girl was like "what the am I going to do with an MBA"? Ahh like if u want to do administrative work in a company and not have to take bitch ass order from other people. No one is trying to force you to be in a dual program......... you need to be smart do that anyway. Seriously, if that's how you're going to behave, I don't want you to be a part of our program anyway. Was such a waste of my time......... Just fuck grad recruitment I'm so done with this.
  2. OHHHHHHH NOOOOOOOO my stipend is taxed??? Can grad student get food stamp?? Because if not I am force to eat ramen noodely doo 6 out of 7 days a week.
  3. Thanxx guys! your insighful information is very much appreciated. I just emailed the director of graduate admission for my program. Hopefully there is some funding. Otherwise I would probably have to eat ramen nooodley doo for the rest of July. My undergrad student loan is dragging me down. Anyone know if I can like pend payment for the duration of my grad education? I suppose even if I don't have to pay my loan for the duration of my grad education, the compounding interest would accumilate throughout those years. I suppose its ramen noodley doo either way. Any suggestion?
  4. So now that you got accepted, you got fully funded, what about relocation assistant ? Moving is expensive in general and not to mention across multiple state over 500+ miles when you have tons of crap that you have collected over the years when you thought you weren't going to grad school. Do most department help (finacially) for grad student to relocate? If so, what is the typical amount?? Thanks lots.
  5. hey msocean, I actually got accepted yesterday. I'm pschyed!!! Hope everything is going well for you.
  6. Hey you guys I got waitlisted to master program in biology (UDel). The director told me I was pretty high on the list but I'm really worry since its almost April 15 and there's no news from them. I noticed funding/stipen are one of the major factor that play a role in people's decision. This school only offer 22,000 annually and only accept 15-20 master/PhD student. What you think is the application pool like this year?? Do you think I'm likely to get accepted off the wailist?? Please give me some insight... the wait is driving me mad.
  7. Anyone heard from NYU sackler Molecular Pharmacology??
