  1. Anon I'm sending you hugs!!! Last year I think two or three alternates wound up getting it!!!
  2. yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
  3. Thus begins another day.... everyone in my life is like.... have you heard? have you? any news? any word?
  4. I am praying for all of us. Good news of the day: the lady and I who thought we were competing are NOT in fact in competition! Different schools, different programs. We will know soon!!!!!!
  5. I hope this email finds you well. I just wanted to check in to give you a quick update on the status of your application. I am happy to confirm that the final nominees have been identified here at the UK Commission. We have sent this list of nominees to our partners at IIE. IIE must now seek final approval from our colleagues in the State Department. This should not be a lengthy process. Once this approval is obtained, IIE will be in touch to notify you of the status of your application. We appreciate your patience during what we know must be a tense and exciting time. Please note that I am not in a position to give any feedback on your interview or application at this point. Warm wishes, Éilish
  6. In reply to the UK thread, I have heard of being nominated for other awards before, in order to maximize your chances. Let's say the school you are applying to for a partnership has had lots of applicants, they might suggest another partnership school where less people have applied. Good luck! Now that Wednesday, the day I thought we might be notified has come and gone, I am somehow feeling more relaxed, because at this point it is anyone's game. I wish all of us the best.... how cool would it be to get the Fulbright and then meet each other during the orientation!? Lots of love and luck to everyone!!
  7. Hahahahahh I am glad to see we have progressed. If we don't find out soon my head is going to explode.
  8. Yeah, if we are looking at how late the UK interviews were this year (almost two weeks later), it wouldn't surprise me if notification actually doesn't happen until later. The UK notifications were Monday or Tuesday for the past three years, and the interviews were all earlier, starting on the 7th, etc. I think I need to breathe, stretch, shake, let it go. Crossing my fingers for all of us!
  9. Yeah that is when I was notified too. So, we have 20 minutes until noon.... end of the UK business day; then if we don't hear by then, 5 EST.
  10. I don't know.... it's hard to predict, because I feel like if I remember correctly, I have received e-mails during the US business day from the UK....
  11. Nothing yet from this UK hopeful.... anyone else?
