  1. i've never heard as "theory" referred to as a method. i think you're referring to rhetorical criticism? in which case, I suggest starting with Kenneth Burke. if you want to work with rhetorical theory (Classical Antiquity, continental philosophy, critical theory, etc), then you're method section would, I imagine, function primarily to argue for why your body of literature/various theoretical perspectives are compatible and relevant to the problem/issue/question you are exploring.
  2. i've only seen special skills included on a resume for actors or musicians. and it looks like your dates are out of order; they should be listed with most recent first. in my cv, i only included whatever is pertinent to my field. so while i've been involved with the YMCA and Habitat for Humanity, my "Service" section only includes committees, a conference I coordinated, etc. i suggest you go by an academic cv from someone in your field. follow that format.
  3. i got into 2/6 programs for Fall 2012, but dropped out of the program i chose b/c it was an awful fit. (the university misrepresented themselves on their website and in their acceptance letter, so i was fooled!) this year i wanted the best chances i could get b/c i miss school so much. i planned to apply to 13 but in the midst of filling out my 10th application, i was accepted into one of my top three choices on the 21st. crazy! so ja, i'm feeling pretty good about this turn around. good vibes all around. : )
