Hey Junegem61. I am on the Berkeley wait list as well. From what I understand, the number of applicants on a wait list varies according to a particular concentration. I believe the gerontology and CMH concentrations have smaller cohorts than the family/children and health concentrations. So, the latter concentrations probably have a higher number of admits and a concomitant number wait listed. Not sure about MAP. One thing I know for sure is that UCB anticipates a higher number of out-of-state admits to decline admission due to the high expense of non-resident tuition and the current state of the economy. So I'm sure some spots will be opening up. Good luck.
