If anyone can help me at all I'd greatly appreciate it. If you've got any solid info about interview invites being all sent out, for Duke Microbiology, UCLA Biosciences Microbiology IDP, or UT Austin, please let me know what you know,here or by PM. It seems so late in the game but I've heard nothing from any of these places.....Feeling super discouraged.

University of Wisconsin Madison Rejection...Damn, I was hopeful about that one.

Has anyone heard anything from Mt Sinai Microbiology specifically yet? I'm still waiting...

Results pages has someone saying UT Austin Microbiology invites are all sent out already, but that was the first post I've seen specifically labeled Microbiology major. Can anyone confirm or add to this?

Thanks to TedBlinsky for reminding that there are people who haven't had a single invite yet. I happen to have applied unsuccessfully for 2 seasons now, and am still waiting for a single interview invite on this current 3rd attempt. It's rough seeing too much about those first world too many interview problems.

I don't have any idea about whether or not there are more decisions they have to notify people of, or when that will be.

Rejection from OHSU PCMB Molecular Microbiology and Immunology. The email had an attached PDF letter which was kind of a form letter, but kind of not. It said unless otherwise noted reasons for the decline are unavailable, however it did give me some reasons. It mentioned improving GRE scores, but also asked about explaining frequency of changing jobs. Especially frustrating because of their ridiculously short 250 word essay fields on the application, where a normally fuller version of my SOP/Personal History Statement would have explained just that, that I was trying to either stop being a volunteer to get paid, or to get a more research oriented biology opportunity.

I saw a Mt Sinai Microbiology invite on the results. If that person is on this, when did you submit your application? Do you know when the interview dates are?

I also just got one of those update about receipt of application materials emails from UCLA. One thing I wonder is, how do you know if Schools do invites on any kind of rolling basis? I want to know whether or not to freak out if I see invites sent out for programs I've applied to but I haven't heard anything?

My UW rejection was not international, but maybe you guys are talking about a different program.

UW micro rejection received. Damn. That's probably it for PhD options this year.

No I still haven't heard anything. It's killing me, UW is my first choice, and probably my last hope after the rejections I've received.
