Maybe a ton of people didn't take the interview, or less than they were expecting, or the ones that interviewed were just mostly not what they expected? So weird.

Just got an interview at Loyola in Chicago. My first one!

So I straighten things out with UIC last week, and my app is now listed as complete. Should I call and confirm with them and make sure my application is still included with the priority deadline people, or would that be overkill?

Yah I have had literally everything in and finished since like Dec 27th or so, except this PS Final Transcripts 1 row under my Unofficial Transcripts upload. When I called I was told that apparently the system thought I had received my degree already, and was asking for my Final Transcripts from then. If that is the case, why would it also ask for Unofficial Transcripts? Not to mention they said they don't want Official Transcripts till you get in. The whole thing has been really confusing. Ugh. Just checked my application, and I guess they fixed it without contacting me. It now says All Materials received-Please Await Further Updates. At least it got done.

I take it your deadline was Jan 1 as well? I was told to call back tomorrow if I haven't been contacted yet. The grad admissions people don't take phone calls Tuesday and Thursday apparently.

Has anyone heard from University of Illinois-Chicago? My app has had problems and it kept saying it was incomplete. I called and left a voicemail and got no answer, I called a second time and they said it was fine. I got an email saying it was incomplete and called again and they said there was an error and they would reach out to the graduate admissions folk and get back to me. Now I'm thinking that they held my app cause it indicated incomplete and even though I applied by the priority deadline, I'm gonna be screwed.

Haha you guys have helped me feel at least a little optimistic. It was pretty unexpected. I feel like I was fired haha, especially since it was right after my letter of rec.

Well today was not a good day. My lab just told me they had no work for me this semester till later and would help me find another lab. How the heck do I talk about that at an interview...

Do most schools have two interview weekends?

Yah I assume it would be this week. There is no way I would be in the first wave of invite anyway, just off putting haha. Yah, Unofficial gets a bit rowdy, and the University hates it, so I'm surprised they would let that weekend be the representative for all these grad students. Like, they HATE it.

Poop. This is by far my number one. Was it by email or phone call? Also what are they thinking.with those dates...that is the weekend of Unofficial, the biggest party on campus, like 40,000 extra people come down to drink.
