With Harvard's rejection (I emailed them), that's it for me this year -- no acceptance. This is already my second year trying, and there won't be a third one.
It isn't totally hopeless though since I am on UNC's IR wait-list. Let's see.
In the meantime, good luck to you all!

I just returned from my first campus visit. I almost fell out of my chair when I was talking to the Director of Graduate Studies and she metioned the Grad Cafe. I was so surprised I don't even remember in what context.
Anyway, for those wondering, they are aware of this place.
I bet a lot of faculty members who watch this forum must have resisted temptations to log in and comment on this thread thousands times, lol

Some kids seem to think way too highly of themselves judging from the comments in the results search.
I noticed that as well. Young and immature. Was probably told his/her entire life how wonderful they are by their parents/professors. Wait until they enter the real world. They are in for a shock, but will hopefully grow up quickly.

I am sure you will hear back from programs soon! Hang in there...It is only February...I guess I have little hope of going to NW as well. Even now, so late into the game, I haven't received a single reply from any school. -
oh so sorryWelp, was wondering why I hadn't heard back from Cornell yet so I emailed them and turns out someone just forgot to send me my rejection letter. Oh well, at least now i know!

I hope not... are there any international admits to Northwestern? I am an international student (though currently studying in the States) so I want to believe they have not done with announcing admits to internationals.....So do you think that is all the good news we will be hearing from Northwestern? -

I hope that's correct! I know there are a few of us that have been waiting to hear something from them!
I am quite sure it is true...but the bad part of the story is very few will be funded.
I know most of state-funded universities got their budget cut...

Northwestern listings aren't fake! well, mine isn't (comparative). I was too excited to go to the forum to post at the time.
CONGRATS!!!!!!! But it does not sound very auspicious for my own fate (considering their announcement pattern last year)......anyway congrats again! It is a great program.
